Algunos estudios indican que hasta la mitad del tiempo que est\u00e1n despiertos lo ocupan en lamerse para mantener su pelaje limpio, eliminar pelos muertos e impregnar su piel con humectantes contenidos en su saliva.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esta es una pr\u00e1ctica que le relaja y disfruta enormemente y que est\u00e1 ligada con su bienestar, su salud y su felicidad.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sin embargo, gatos de pelaje largo o que no pueden asearse por s\u00ed mismos por alguna enfermedad, discapacidad o edad, requieren de tu ayuda. Para mantener a tu michi limpio y feliz, tienes que crear una rutina de cuidado. Tu peludito te lo agradecer\u00e1.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Rutina y consejos para tener un michi limpio y feliz<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Kit de aseo: un cepillo de cerdas de pl\u00e1stico para retirar pelos muertos, un peine de dientes estrechos para alisar el pelo y quiz\u00e1 un pa\u00f1o para dar lustre al pelambre bastan para una higiene adecuada. Las tiendas de mascotas venden cepillos y peines especiales a costos prohibitivos, pero sirven exactamente igual aquellos usados por humanos y que quiz\u00e1 tengas a la mano.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Frecuencia de cepillado: variedades de pelo corto como los gatos siameses y casi todos los gatos mestizos, solo requieren cepillado una vez a la semana (el felino se encarga del resto), pero en el caso de gatos de pelo largo como los persas o los <em>ragdoll<\/em>, quiz\u00e1 ser\u00e1 preciso asearlo una vez al d\u00eda.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alcanza \u00e1reas dif\u00edciles: no existe un m\u00e9todo \u00fanico para cepillar a tu gatito, pero seguro agradecer\u00e1 que le ayudes con \u00e1reas donde no alcanza a lamerse como la parte trasera del lomo, el abdomen, debajo de la mand\u00edbula o entre las patas. No olvides hacerlo con suavidad y respetar a tu michi si ya no quiere que lo cepilles.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Corta las bolas de pelo: en ocasiones, por muy buen trabajo de higiene que se haga, aparecen bolas de pelo en aquellas \u00e1reas del cuerpo felino que no puede alcanzarse a lamer. En esta situaci\u00f3n, es posible retirarlas cortando la bola de pelo usando una aguja descosedora en lugar de tijeras o navajas que pueden lesionar la piel del felino.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>U\u00f1as limpias: limar sus u\u00f1as es una cuesti\u00f3n de salud, pues ayuda a desprender la queratina de las u\u00f1as. Sin embargo, si un felino no puede hacer esta rutina de higiene, una vez al mes un veterinario puede ayudar con pinzas especiales para retirar la u\u00f1a muerta sin lastimar el muy delicado tejido que se encuentra debajo.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cuidados extra<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>En condiciones normales, un gato no necesita ba\u00f1arse, su rutina de higiene y el cepillado debe bastar.
